Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Hudson reunite 16 years after ‘Sex and the City’

The “American Idol” alum, 42, posted an Instagram photo Monday of herself and SJP, 59, hugging in front of the Eiffel Tower during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Monday (July 29), Hudson, 42, shared a picture on Instagram of her and Parker standing together in front of the Eiffel Tower.

“Look who I ran into in Paris !! Carrie and Louise reunited at last! Love is the thing, you know! #SATC,” she wrote in the caption.

Sex and the City fans will remember Hudson guest starred as Carrie’s (Parker) assistant, Louise from St Louis, in the 2008 Sex and the City follow-up movie.

Her appearance was a ground-breaking moment for the show, as she became the first major Black female character in the franchise’s 10-year history.

Parker starred as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in six seasons of HBO’s Darren Star-created Sex and the City, based on Candace Bushnell’s New York Observer column, from 1998 to 2004.

The 2008 movie brought back the cast — Parker, Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes and Chris Noth as Mr. Big — and introduced Hudson as Carrie’s personal assistant Louise, who at one point in the movie says, “I’m not going to give up on love. Love is the thing, you know?”

“Look who I ran into in Paris !!” Hudson captioned the post before referencing their characters from the 2008 film. “Carrie and Louise reunited at last!”

The talk show host then quoted her character, writing, “Love is the thing, you know! 😉 #SATC.”

Hudson wore a chic oversize pink coat while Parker looked stylish in a denim dress, a black cardigan and long pearl necklaces.
